Antarctica

This is a portfolio of my favorite images taken during a working trip to Davis Base, Antarctica during the Australian summer of 04/05.

Antarctica is a photographer's dream, with spectacular sunsets that seem to last forever, providing light, shadows and colours to accentuate the awesome nature of the landscape… huge glaciers, frozen lakes and wildlife that has been given no reason to fear us.

"Antarctica is perhaps the last unspoilt continent…it is a vast wilderness of magic and beauty; a land at one with itself and at least for now… at one with mankind. I may never get back there, but Antarctica will remain forever in my heart".
